CyberGIS - Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

One Postdoctoral Researcher position is open within the CyberInfrastructure and Geospatial Information Laboratory (CIGI) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, starting immediately. The successful candidate will work on one or more research projects related to cyberinfrastructure, GIS, spatial analysis and modeling, and CyberGIS applications.

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. degree in GIScience, spatial analysis, or a related field. Knowledge and experience in advanced Web technologies or geovisualization are desirable. The successful candidate will conduct cutting edge research and coordinate with multidisciplinary collaborators involved. He or she will also work with graduate students of the GIScience track in the Department of Geography at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Stipend depends on qualifications. The original appointment is for one year. Extension after the first year depends on availability of funding and performance.
